Vole removal near Great Falls

Can coronavirus be spread by voles?

According to a report by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), a “small number of pet cats and dogs have been reported to be infected with the virus.” Currently, the CDC is working closely with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in observing mammals.

Although voles – otherwise known as meadow mice – aren’t currently known as a carrier of the virus, it is a historic fact that small rodents have been carriers of deadly diseases. Hantavirus, lymphocytic choriomeningitis, and the bubonic plague are some of the most harmful illnesses that can be caused by wild rodent infestations.

If your home is suffering from an infestation of voles, termites, or bed bugs, we recommend calling a rodent exterminator or pest control expert to prevent viral infections. Ensure your family is safe and protected by contacting our friendly Wyoming or Montana representatives today.
